THE CONFERENCE.
The 15th edition of the National Conference on Research in Parks will be held from November 6 to 8, 2026, organized by the Openature Foundation, at Zoomarine (Rome).
The conference is dedicated to scientific studies conducted within zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, and wildlife rehabilitation centers, as well as to research and conservation activities in the wild, in national parks, and in protected areas.
The presentation of the latest findings and discussions with Italian and international researchers aim to advance knowledge of various species and stimulate new studies across different research fields, through a rich program featuring plenary sessions, workshops, and poster presentations.
The topics covered in this edition will focus on ex situ and in situ conservation, the study of animal behavior and welfare, cognitive abilities, communication, and social behavior in animals, veterinary medicine, conservation and reintroduction projects, and conservation education.
SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS.
Scientific contributions to the 15th National Conference on Park Research may be submitted either as a poster or as an oral presentation by September 28, 2026.
Each corresponding author or first author may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts, consisting of 1 oral presentation and 1 poster, or 2 posters:

Oral presentations: Given the presence of international guests, presentation slides must be in English. The presentation itself may be delivered in either Italian or English.

Posters: posters must have maximum dimensions of 594 x 841 mm (A1 format) with the long side oriented vertically. They may be displayed on the designated stands in the conference hall before the start of the first poster session. Given the presence of international guests, posters must be prepared in English.
Abstracts may be submitted along with the registration form via the dedicated link that will be shared shortly.

* Students are defined as anyone enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
** The companion fee includes: the icebreaker on November 6, a 2-day pass for Zoomarine on November 7–8, 2026, with a 20% discount at the park’s food and beverage outlets. It does not include participation in the conference itself or coffee breaks.
