THE CONSERVATION NETWORK.
Conservation is a team effort. To carry out our projects and tackle the challenges of the future, we collaborate with local public and private organizations, as well as universities and zoos around the world, joining forces to make a difference for our planet.
VISION.
Openature Foundation was founded on the belief that the future of the planet depends on our ability to understand, respect, and take action. We envision a future where humans and nature live in harmony, through concrete actions in conservation, research, and community engagement.
Through an integrated approach, we work to protect species and habitats, promote sustainable practices, and strengthen the connection between people and nature, including through innovative technologies and educational programs.
From the local to the global level, we support ecosystem restoration, environmental monitoring, and the reintroduction of threatened species, creating a lasting positive impact on the environment, science, and people.
MISSION.
Promote scientific research, both in the zoological and environmental fields, with a focus on biodiversity and ecological monitoring, on animal health and well-being, on sustainable development, on the protection and improvement of environmental conditions and therefore of people.
The Foundation intends to create dynamic and productive collaborations between different entities, from stakeholders to national/international organizations up to local communities, always putting research at the center and working to ensure that it improves the connection between community and nature, both of social and environmental support and utility. and lead to concrete actions.

OUR ACTIONS.
Research
Conservation must be part of a larger circuit, where the different skills in the different sectors can now work synergistically, creating efficiency in the protection of nature and terrestrial and aquatic environments, creating a link between the different global actions and researches carried out in the different ecosystems. The strategy involves creating a network for sharing scientific data, creating a widespread and standardized scientific culture and awareness for the achievement of objectives, promoting projects, programs with the involvement of partners with specialized skills to support the initiatives to be implemented, for the final definition of shared proposals for European, national and regional policies.
Environmental requalification and promotion of sustainability
We wish to inspire new ways of living and interacting with nature, so that every action is sustainable and supportive: stimulating social change for the conservation of ecosystems.
We believe in the active participation of people for the conservation and redevelopment of ecosystems in order to develop awareness and method in designing and implementing sustainable development interventions at a local level.
We want to enhance the qualities of human resources and skills as the first step towards inclusive and therefore effective growth.
Protection of biodiversity and conservation of threatened species
Openature Foundation supports the activity of the zoological parks of Openature Group in the conservation of endangered species and environmental protection through research projects, monitoring and support for in-situ projects, i.e. in the places of origin of the species, involving and working with the populations locals.

Organization: Wildcats Conservation Alliance
Project: Mobile Clinic
Location: Siberia
Objective: To help Siberian tigers in need and to intervene surgically on site through the use of a mobile clinic with a dedicated surgery space and 4 beds for the veterinarians working there.
Organization: Save the Rhino International
International organization for the protection of the rhino.
Project: uMkhuze Smart Park Project
Location: uMkhuze Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
Objective: conservation of rhinos in particular in the uMkhuze Game Reserve part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, north KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, a UNESCO heritage site of the areas richest in rhinos.
The money raised allowed them to train and equip The rangers, providing uniforms, equipment and a small patrol and control aircraft to support them. In addition, the funds have allowed to train anti-poaching dog units.

Project: Volohasy - Bambù , promoted by the Department of Animal and Human Biology of the University of Turin, supported by UIZA (Italian Union of Zoos and Aquariums)
Location: Maromizaha, Madagascar
Objective: bamboo reforestation for the rainforest of Maromizaha dragon trees to protect the two species of endemic lemur of the area, strictly dependent on the consumption of this vegetable.
Organization : SANCCOB (The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds).
Project: African Penguins Chick Bolstering
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Objective: Fundraising for the conservation, recovery, rehabilitation of African penguins and education in Cape Town schools to safeguard endangered species.
Project: Red Panda Network Forest Guardian
Location: East India, West Nepal.
Objective: to create the 1st world reserve by protecting a forest corridor between India and Nepal (called PIT, Panchthar - Ilam - Taplejung) extremely important for the conservation of the species. Il 25% of the population is in this area and through the corridor they connect to the populations living in the rest of the country.
Project: Green Viet, Save biodiversity for Vietnam
in collaboration with the Parco Natura Viva, the Arca Foundation and the Pistoia Zoo.
Location: Son Tra Nature Reserve, Da Nang, Vietnam
Objective: The "Raise awareness on the Red Shanked Douc" project aims to increase the knowledge of the local population on the theme of biodiversity in Son Tra, to connect people with nature through targeted educational programs, in order to increase their participation. helping to save Son Tra's biodiversity. Furthermore, the project aims to safeguard the only area of the forest in Vietnam, where the Langur Duka, a monkey at very high risk of extinction, is still present.
